Ninja Assassin Movie with Rain

Rain - Ninja Assassin MovieNinja Assassin is an upcoming martial arts movie produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers. The film is directed by James McTeigue and is starring the South Korean pop star Rain (you may remember him as Taejo Togokahn in Speed Racer) and Naomie Harris. No official release date yet, but the rumor is that it will released during the first half of 2009.

Here below a clip showing Rain training for a fight choreography with the 87 Eleven crew (this stunt team worked on 300, Watchmen, Matrix and Bourne films):

Plot:
"Raizo (Rain) is one of the world's deadliest assassins, having been kidnapped as a child and raised by the Ozunu Clan, believed by the world to be a myth. When Raizo's friend is executed by the clan, Raizo flees into hiding. He later reemerges, seeking revenge. Meanwhile, Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) is a Europol agent who investigates money linked to political murders and finds that it is linked to the Ozunu Clan. She defies her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), and retrieves secret agency files to find out more. The clan, finding out about the investigation, attempts to assassinate her, but she is rescued by Raizo. Hiding in Europe, Raizo and Mika must find a way to take down the Ozunu Clan." Rain is really working hard for his role as Raizo in the Ninja Assassin movie. I don't know if he had any skills in martial arts before the movie, but I am quite impressed by his spectacular performance in this training video!

I bet Ninja Assassin can contend for the best action movie of 2009! Take your ninjato sword, check your shuriken and get ready for the Ninja Assassin!
